Qualified Diesel Mechanic

A well-established mining operation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their dynamic team at a mine located in Postmasburg.

Requirements

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognized Trade Test Certificate / Red Seal
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar environment
• Strong hydraulics experience is essential
• Valid driver’s license
• Exceptional mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair heavy-duty diesel-powered mining equipment
• Accurately diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic faults
• Conduct thorough preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Quickly identify equipment problems and execute necessary repairs
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and operational reports
