Senior Engineer: Wastewater and Water Treatment

Requirements

• BSc/BEng in Chemical, Civil, or Process Engineering
• Master’s degree in Water, Environmental, or Process Engineering will be an advantage
• Professional Registration (PrEng) with ECSA required
• 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment projects
• Demonstrated expertise in both greenfield and brownfield projects
• Hands-on experience in the design, specification, and commissioning of:
  • Water Treatment Plants (conventional and advanced)
  • Wastewater Treatment Plants (activated sludge, MBR, BNR, etc.)
• Proven experience in water reuse projects, including potable and non-potable reuse schemes
• Familiarity with reuse-specific technologies and regulatory frameworks
• Strong understanding of national standards such as SANS, SABS, and other key regulatory requirements
• Extensive knowledge of contract administration (GCC, FIDIC)
• Proficiency in industry software, including AutoCAD, Civil Designer, and Civil 3D, with process simulation tools considered a strong plus
