Site Supervisor
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day execution of plant maintenance and operational activities at the Aggeneys Solar PV Plant. This role is intentionally technical in nature, with the majority of time focused on maintenance execution, inspections, fault-finding support, work planning, quality control, asset performance, and technical coordination.
The Site Supervisor also provides daily workforce supervision and work coordination. While retaining line-supervisory responsibility for the Site Electrician and Semi-Skilled Workers, these employees work closely with the Site Technician, who provides technical direction, verification, and input into their performance assessments. The Site Supervisor remains responsible for attendance, conduct, teamwork, work allocation, safety compliance, site coordination, and overall work performance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical and Operational Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities in line with the Annual Operating Plan, approved maintenance schedules, work orders, SOPs, and site priorities.
- Plan and schedule daily and weekly maintenance work, considering technical requirements, resource availability, safety controls, tools, spares, permits, and operational constraints.
- Carry out and support technical inspections, fault-finding, testing, troubleshooting, and first-line diagnosis across plant equipment within your competence and authorization.
- Collaborate closely with the Site Technician on complex faults, technical decisions, defect escalation, and the prioritization of corrective actions.
- Coordinate the Site Electrician and Semi-Skilled Workers from a site-supervision perspective, ensuring that technical instructions and specialist verifications align with the Site Technician.
- Monitor maintenance quality to ensure completed work is safe, technically acceptable, properly closed out, and supported by required records, test results, photographs, or inspection evidence.
- Ensure all maintenance and inspection records are accurate and current, including work orders, checklists, equipment histories, manuals, guarantees, warranties, and related technical documentation.
- Monitor plant deviations and outstanding defects, track aging items, and escalate unresolved issues that present safety, reliability, or production risks.
- Support plant performance monitoring and trending by reviewing recurring faults, breakdowns, downtime, equipment conditions, and maintenance-related production losses.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action processes while helping implement practical performance-improvement initiatives.
- Schedule repairs or replacements for faulty components, and coordinate warranty issues, failed components, rotables, suppliers, and spare requirements with the Plant Manager and Site Technician.
- Control the availability and condition of tools, test equipment, consumables, and maintenance materials required for safe and effective work execution.
- Ensure all technical work complies with approved SOPs, electrical safety rules, lockout/tagout requirements, permit systems, HSE standards, and applicable site procedures.
- Participate in daily or cross-functional performance meetings, providing clear technical status updates, risk assessments, constraints, and required actions.
- Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly technical and operational updates to the Plant Manager, covering schedule attainment, breakdowns, outstanding deviations, spare movements, HSE matters, and maintenance risks.
Worker Oversight and Workforce Coordination
- Allocate, coordinate, and monitor daily tasks for Team Leaders, Semi-Skilled, and General Workers, including vegetation control, panel-cleaning support, housekeeping, waste management, and facilities tasks.

- Monitor attendance, punctuality, conduct, productivity, teamwork, and adherence to site rules, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Inspect completed general work for quality, safety, and completeness, ensuring prompt implementation of corrective actions.
- Coach and guide employees on safe work practices, task execution, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Plant Manager with leave planning, overtime and standby control, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
- Participate in performance management for direct reports. Obtain technical-performance input from the Site Technician for the Site Electrician and Semi-Skilled Workers, and assess work quality, productivity, attendance, teamwork, conduct, and site compliance for General Workers.

- Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and leading indicators accurately and on time, supporting investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure technical personnel use appropriate electrical and arc-rated PPE as mandated by risk assessments and site standards.
Reporting and Administration
- Keep the Plant Manager properly informed to ensure timely operational and maintenance decisions.
- Prepare and submit required reports and supporting information accurately and on time.
