Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant qualification in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration (advantageous)
• 3+ years of experience as a Supply Chain Administrator within the manufacturing and distribution industry
• Import/export and logistics coordination experience
• Minimum of 3 years of stock control experience
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Knowledge of SAGE Evolution and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for stock take and control

Responsibilities

• Order Management: Process and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock to meet demand, conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and assist in forecasting based on sales trends and customer demand.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, work with logistics providers to arrange transportation, resolve shipping issues, track shipments, and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, resolve any issues or concerns, evaluate performance, and assist in selecting new suppliers.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and shipments in database systems, and generate comprehensive reports on supply chain metrics such as order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, and logistics performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement across supply chain processes and suggest innovative solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while maintaining accurate documentation related to contracts, agreements, and compliance.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (sales, finance, and operations) to ensure alignment and participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss supply chain performance and challenges.
