Location: Cape Town Northern Suburbs

Your primary responsibility will be the accurate and compliant management of payroll services for our diverse clientele.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for a wide range of clients, including all required statutory submissions.
  • Ensure full statutory compliance for all client payroll-related matters.
  • Resolve SARS queries, handle correspondence, manage verifications, and support audits.
  • Perform or assist with payroll-related registrations and de-registrations.
  • Assist clients with payroll-related debt management interventions.
  • Handle general and in-house administrative duties as required from time to time.
  • Support and perform other employment solution services as needed.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic payroll principles, terminology, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Apply intermediate principles and rules of regulatory requirements regarding Payroll, UIF, WCA, and SARS.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the employment and labor laws governing payroll duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role includes leadership and mentorship responsibilities within the team:

  • Train, guide, and provide problem-solving support to the payroll team.
  • Assist the Team Leader in overseeing the daily operations of the payroll department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric certificate.
  • A relevant 3-year diploma or similar qualification from a recognized tertiary institution will be highly advantageous.
  • 3 to 4 years of relevant payroll experience gained within an auditing or accounting environment.
