Lead Software Engineer

Location: Green Point, Cape Town

Tech Stack: Flutter + Python

One of our forward-thinking clients is looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to join a dynamic and growing technology team within the healthcare space.

This is an exciting player-coach role where you will be responsible for guiding and developing the engineering team, all while remaining actively involved in coding and hands-on technical delivery.

What we are looking for:

• Strong, demonstrated experience with Flutter and Python
• Proven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineering role
• A hands-on developer who is genuinely passionate about writing code
• Experience mentoring, developing, and growing high-performing software engineering teams
• A solid background in building and scaling robust applications
• Previous industry experience within the healthcare or health-tech sector
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience would be highly advantageous
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound technical decision-making skills
