Scrum Master: Agile Coach

Location: Gauteng, JHB - Northern Suburbs (Parktown)

Salary: R 650 000 - R 850 000 Annually Cost To Company

Are you the person who can turn delivery chaos into clarity, unblock teams, and help people do their best work?

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Coach to support two cross-functional software delivery teams in our Parktown office. This role goes beyond simply facilitating ceremonies—you will improve delivery flow, strengthen predictability, and foster a culture where teams feel safe to collaborate, experiment, and continuously improve.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead effective Scrum and Kanban practices across delivery teams.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach teams on Agile principles, self-organisation, and continuous improvement.
• Improve delivery flow, capacity planning, and predictability.
• Identify bottlenecks, dependencies, risks, and work-in-progress overload.
• Utilise delivery metrics and team insights to drive data-informed decisions.
• Coordinate work and dependencies across multiple teams.
• Facilitate workshops and cross-functional alignment sessions.
• Support the transition from project-based delivery to product- and value-focused delivery.
• Build strong partnerships across development, product, operations, and leadership.
• Promote psychological safety, experimentation, and evidence-based improvement.

What you’ll need

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Agile Coaching, delivery transformation, or technology and product environments.
• Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead supporting software development teams.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and modern engineering practices.
• Proven coaching, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience using delivery metrics and basic analytics to track progress.
• Familiarity with Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
• The ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
• A background in software development, QA, or another technical discipline.
• Experience with value stream mapping and a servant leadership mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required certifications

• An industry-recognised Agile certification such as CSP, PSM, CSM, or Disciplined Agile.
• Additional coaching, facilitation, Scaled Agile, or Lean certifications will be highly advantageous.
