Full Stack Developer

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with leadership experience to join a well-established, family-owned luxury retail business. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented developer who enjoys being hands-on with code while also leading, mentoring, and training other members of the development team.

Location: Johannesburg / Cape Town
Work Arrangement: Johannesburg onsite | Cape Town 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Type: Permanent
Salary: Market-related, based on experience

What you'll be doing

• Develop clean, scalable front-end and back-end solutions
• Balance hands-on development approximately 60% of the time
• Lead, mentor, and train developers approximately 40% of the time
• Build and maintain APIs and system integrations
• Design and optimize databases
• Troubleshoot issues and improve system performance
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high development standards
• Work across the full software development lifecycle
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Contribute to system design and technical decision-making
• Evaluate systems holistically and think beyond individual development tasks
• Explore and utilize AI tools to improve development and business processes

We're looking for someone who

• Possesses strong Full Stack Development experience with C# / .NET
• Brings previous lead, mentoring, or team leadership experience
• Has strong SQL and database management experience
• Has proven experience building and integrating APIs
• Has experience working with ERP, retail, or similar business systems
• Is a strategic systems thinker who understands how different technologies and processes connect
• Is comfortable using AI or eager to incorporate AI into their development workflow
• Takes ownership and drives solutions from concept to completion
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Values quality, meticulous attention to detail, and collaboration
• Thrives in a high-standard, fast-paced environment
• Is a non-smoker
