Solutions Architect (Senior)

Essential Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js for backend development and building scalable services.
• Proven experience with frontend development using Angular, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript to build responsive interfaces and developer-facing UI components.
• Hands-on experience with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational SQL databases, featuring a solid understanding of database concepts, query languages, relationships, and scalable schema design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive technical initiatives across the full stack—from requirements, architecture, and design through implementation, testing, and production operations.
• Architect, implement, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js that expose RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Design and build responsive frontend applications and developer-facing interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain high-performing, scalable, and maintainable databases and data relationships.
• Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures to support real-time and asynchronous workflows.
• Define and implement API contracts, versioning strategies, and consumer-producer agreements using OpenAPI, GraphQL schemas, and contract testing.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines, containerized builds, and deployment automation to ensure reliable release processes and robust rollback strategies.
• Instrument applications and infrastructure with observability metrics, logs, and traces; define and meet SLOs and participate in incident response and on-call rotations as required.
• Drive secure coding practices and perform threat modeling where necessary.
• Integrate systems with third-party APIs and internal services, ensuring robust error handling, retries, and idempotency.
• Collaborate with initiative streams, stakeholders, and technical peers to ensure the delivery of optimal technical solutions and contribute to product roadmaps.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in IT or equivalent qualifications, or recognized industry certifications.
• Extensive hands-on experience (typically 6+ years) in full-stack development, supported by demonstrable projects using Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Angular, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• A proven track record of delivering production-grade applications involving databases (MongoDB, SQL), API integrations, microservices, and cloud deployments on AWS.
