Platform Engineering Lead

A national client is seeking a dynamic Platform Engineering Lead to spearhead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, guide a talented team of engineers, and drive the evolution of our modern customer platforms.

Role Overview

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Drive the technical roadmap to deliver scalable, secure, and robust platforms.
• Partner with Product Managers and key stakeholders to translate business needs into innovative technology solutions.
• Ensure successful project delivery while continuously optimizing platform performance and the overall customer experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development and engineering leadership, with a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience spanning both backend and frontend technologies.
• Demonstrated exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and modern development frameworks.
