A well-established automotive dealership in Stellenbosch is seeking a dynamic and driven Service Advisor to join their growing team. If you have at least 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a sales-oriented automotive role, we want to hear from you!

As the primary point of contact for our customers, you will guide them through the vehicle service and maintenance process. The ideal candidate combines exceptional communication skills with a solid understanding of automotive systems and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification (A technical qualification will be highly advantageous)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a service or sales-oriented position within the automotive industry
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in the MS Office Suite
  • Strong team player with a deadline- and results-driven mindset
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a client-first approach

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Communication

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, identifying their service needs and concerns
  • Provide accurate, transparent, and timely estimates for repair and maintenance services
  • Translate complex technical issues into clear, understandable terms for customers
  • Maintain consistent communication regarding vehicle status, including any changes in timing or cost
  • Conduct post-service follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and resolve any outstanding concerns

Service Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule appointments strategically to optimise workshop capacity and meet customer expectations
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently and completed on time
  • Verify that all necessary parts and supplies are available prior to scheduled appointments

Documentation & Record-Keeping

  • Create detailed service orders capturing accurate vehicle information and requested work
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, including warranty details and service histories
  • Handle service-related invoicing and payment processing accurately and promptly

Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the highest company and safety standards
  • Deliver exceptional experiences to drive customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty
  • Resolve complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary

Product & Service Knowledge

  • Stay informed about new vehicle models, company services, and ongoing promotions
  • Act as a brand advocate, promoting relevant dealership services and special offers to clients

Team Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collaborate closely with the service, parts, and sales departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly metrics on performance, satisfaction, and volume
