Senior DevOps Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of a modern, cloud-first infrastructure environment supporting a cutting-edge Banking-as-a-Service platform. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned DevOps professional who thrives on building scalable infrastructure, driving automation, and delivering highly available production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the migration of infrastructure into AWS using Terraform
• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
• Manage and support Kubernetes production environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Implement and maintain cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and compliance controls
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize infrastructure performance and reliability
• Lead deployments, upgrades, and incident resolution
• Mentor and support the DevOps team while promoting best practices
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency

Requirements

• 7 to 10+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
• Strong expertise with Terraform
• Advanced Kubernetes administration experience
• Solid Docker experience
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL
• South African Citizen, Permanent Resident, or authorized to work in South Africa
