Network Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you will be involved in the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of LAN infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced technology professionals and contribute directly to continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise network environments and teams
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco switching platforms (Catalyst, Nexus) and Cisco DNA Center
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), STP variants, VXLAN, multicast, QoS, and SD-Access concepts
• Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, Git) and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Solid understanding of NAC (Cisco ISE), firewall policies, and network segmentation

Soft Skills & Organisational Requirements

• Ability to develop and present technical strategies to leadership
• Strong documentation capabilities with strict adherence to change control and ITIL processes
• Analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and strong operational discipline

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (essential)
• Professional Certification: CCNP Enterprise (required)
• CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (preferred but not essential)
• Additional certifications such as JNCIP/JNCIE, Aruba, Fortinet NSE, or network automation credentials (advantageous)
