Fleet Controller

A well-established company in the logistics industry is seeking a reliable and organized Fleet Controller to join their dynamic team.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification
• Previous experience in fleet control, logistics, transport, or a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and driver coordination
• Computer literacy with proficiency in relevant software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive sense of urgency
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate daily fleet operations
• Track vehicles and oversee driver movements in real-time
• Coordinate vehicle dispatches, optimized routes, and schedules
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding deliveries, delays, and route changes
• Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report breakdowns or maintenance requirements
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with company and industry operational standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet and trip records
• Assist in resolving operational issues and addressing customer queries efficiently
• Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to management
• Ensure the efficient, safe, and timely delivery of all loads
