Junior IT Installer

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and technically skilled Junior IT Installer to join our dynamic technical support team in Bloemfontein. This role is ideal for an individual with hands-on experience in IT hardware, network infrastructure, CCTV, and fibre installation who thrives in both technical and onsite environments.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent to NQF Level 4
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 years of practical exposure to IT hardware, network infrastructure, CCTV, and fibre installation
• Valid RSA Driver’s Licence with reliable own transport
• Strong technical proficiency in CAT6 and fibre cabling, LAN/WAN infrastructure, CCTV systems, hardware installation, cable termination, and fibre splicing equipment

Core Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and thoroughly test CAT6 and fibre cabling
• Mount and connect CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi access points, switches, and network cabinets
• Diagnose and efficiently repair faults in cabling, devices, and system configurations
• Pull, route, label, and secure cables strictly according to technical standards and site requirements
• Terminate cables neatly in patch panels, cabinets, and equipment rooms
• Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment and stock levels
• Ensure all installations are completed safely and in compliance with site regulations

Additional Information

After-hours work may be required as part of our 24/7 onsite service environment.
