What You’ll Do

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments. You’ll work with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native architectures, and automation tools to modernise applications and infrastructure while mentoring junior engineers and driving innovation.

• Architect Solutions: Design and build secure, scalable environments tailored to customer needs.
• Modernise Applications: Transition and reshape legacy applications to modern, hyperscaler-native architectures, with a focus on Kubernetes and containerisation.
• Drive Automation: Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Champion Innovation: Lead workshops, evaluate new technologies, and share best practices, emerging technologies, and trends with your team.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Support and mentor junior engineers and contribute to our vibrant knowledge-sharing culture.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone passionate about cloud engineering with the skills and experience to match:

• Extensive expertise in AWS, with hands-on experience transforming legacy applications using cloud-native principles to run optimally and efficiently within hyperscaler environments.
• Demonstrable experience in Kubernetes, containerisation, Terraform, DevSecOps, and GitOps principles.
• A broad understanding of software development practices and architecture, including microservices and 12-factor principles, with familiarity across various programming languages and frameworks.
• A natural problem solver who values collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

Core Experience:

• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, secure cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and application design patterns.
• Familiarity with common languages and frameworks (Java/Spring, .NET Core, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).

Considered Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in other hyperscalers (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
