Sub-Product Owner

We are looking for a Senior Sub-Product Owner to join a dynamic global IT environment, delivering innovative solutions across cloud, development, and enterprise platforms.

This role sits within a complex product landscape focused on vehicle systems integration, quality assurance, and production enablement. You will play a critical part in ensuring error-free customer functionality across electrical and electronic systems, driving dynamics, and overall vehicle performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for a defined sub-product.
• Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and the definition of done.
• Collaborate closely with feature teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate development, operations, and maintenance activities seamlessly.
• Make informed release decisions based on product quality and readiness.
• Manage stakeholders effectively, aligning business objectives with technical requirements.
• Drive Agile and DevOps best practices across the team.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Support documentation, compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and actively support their capability development.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Sub-Product Owner or Proxy Product Owner.
• Strong hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native concepts.
• Strong Java background with a solid understanding of related architectures.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Exceptional backlog management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication abilities.

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Azure PaaS (App Services, Functions, AKS) and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Proficiency in Jira or similar tools for backlog and sprint management.
• Understanding of ITSM processes and tools (incident, problem, change, CMDB).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Experience working effectively across distributed global teams.
