Your Role in a Nutshell

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you bridge software engineering and operations to build reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms. You focus on improving platform reliability, reducing operational complexity through automation, and enabling development teams to deliver software quickly and safely. You will work on modern cloud environments supporting high-traffic, high-availability applications that serve millions of users. Together with developers, Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Architects, you ensure systems remain resilient, observable, and continuously improving.

You will:

  • Design, build, automate, and maintain highly available cloud platforms and Kubernetes environments.
  • Improve platform reliability through automation, standardization, and engineering best practices.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, predictable, and automated software deployments.
  • Reduce operational toil by automating repetitive tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Configure and maintain container platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitOps principles.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, metrics, dashboards, and observability solutions using modern monitoring platforms.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure issues while driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Improve scalability through auto-scaling, capacity planning, and resilient cloud platform design.
  • Create operational documentation, runbooks, and engineering standards to improve platform maturity.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Support DevOps teams in improving deployment quality, release automation, and operational excellence.
  • Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and continuous service improvement.
  • Evaluate new cloud-native technologies and continuously improve engineering practices across projects.

You will become part of a highly skilled Cloud & Platform Engineering community consisting of Site Reliability Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Solution Architects. What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking, security, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and Platform Engineering practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, automation, and operational excellence.
