Our client, a leading news distribution and media monitoring service connecting businesses with the media through accurate targeting and intelligence across Africa, is seeking a dynamic Media Analyst to join their team in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Media Analysis & Capturing: Summarise diverse media content—including print and internet articles, audio clips, and video clips—into clear, concise synopses containing key information. Ensure absolute accuracy in spelling, grammar, and contextual content before entering data into the in-house database.
• Reporting: Compile and draw up comprehensive weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements

• Solid media knowledge and industry understanding
• Recently completed diploma or degree in Marketing, Communication, PR, or Media
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Computer literacy with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
