Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to oversee the movement, tracking, and timely delivery of diesel trucks and emergency transportation nationwide.

This is a fast-paced role that requires exceptional coordination skills and full ownership of the lifecycle, from dispatch to final delivery. The successful candidate will manage drivers and vehicles, monitor active routes, and respond swiftly to any delays or urgent transport needs.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate nationwide and long-distance diesel deliveries.
Track vehicles, fleets, and delivery progress throughout every journey.
Manage emergency dispatches and time-sensitive transportation requirements.
Liaise seamlessly with clients, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain accurate delivery records, documentation, and administrative files.
Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address delays or operational bottlenecks.
Resolve logistics and transportation challenges quickly and efficiently.
Take complete ownership of the delivery process from initial dispatch to final drop-off.
Provide regular updates on vehicle and delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
Assist with after-hours, weekend, and emergency transport coordination when necessary.

Requirements

Relevant BCom qualification in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain is essential.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, transport, or fleet operations.
Strong background in fleet, vehicle, and delivery-tracking systems.
Experience with national or long-distance deliveries is highly advantageous.
Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Reliable own transport and a dependable commute to Aspen Hills, Alberton.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs as required.
