Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant

Location: Pretoria, South Africa

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing team in Pretoria. In this role, you will manage client CIPC requirements while handling diverse accounting functions, including payroll and Sage administration. The ideal candidate holds a BCom degree and has preferably completed SAIPA articles.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all client CIPC requirements, including company registrations, amendments, and annual returns
• Execute core accounting functions such as payroll, bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and submit tax returns and various regulatory compliance documents
• Assist with organizational budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of daily tasks
• Provide comprehensive support to senior accountants and management as needed

Requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Completed SAIPA articles (highly advantageous)
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Sage and other standard accounting software
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to work on-site at the Pretoria office
