About the opportunity

This is more than a traditional finance role—it is an opportunity to shape the future of three distinct business units. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Divisional Managing Director, with a dotted line to the Group FCO, playing a pivotal role in driving profitability, commercial governance, cash flow optimization, and sustainable growth. You will also lead finance transformation initiatives and ensure robust compliance across this diverse portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and execute the financial strategy in alignment with overarching group goals
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across all business units
• Oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance (IFRS, VAT, PAYE), audits, and internal controls
• Optimize cash flow, working capital, and banking structures, including foreign exchange management
• Ensure strong commercial governance covering pricing, tenders, contracts, and deal structuring
• Champion financial systems, automation, and continuous process improvement
• Inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team across the cluster

What we’re looking for

• CA(SA) qualification
• 10+ years of senior financial management experience in an operational role
• Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities
• Proven commercial acumen with expertise in pricing, tenders, and margin optimization
• Proficiency in advanced Excel, major ERP systems, and project management or lean methodologies
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
