Accountant

A well-established organisation operating in a fast-paced, high-volume commercial environment is looking to appoint a SAIPA Qualified Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This role is ideal for someone who understands industry operations, enjoys working closely with the business, and thrives in high-volume transactional environments where accuracy, speed, and accountability are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, full-function accounting role, which includes but is not limited to:

• Month-end journal processing and comprehensive reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Cashbook reviews, postings, and reconciliations
• Payments, intercompany loans, and accounts receivable/payable reconciliations
• Royalties, profit-share calculations, accruals, and depreciation
• Liaison with auditors, banks, SARS, and other external stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with operational teams to resolve financial discrepancies
• Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• SAIPA qualification
• Completed SAIPA articles
• Proven industry experience within Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) or FMCG

Minimum Requirements

• BCom or BTech qualification
• Active SAIPA registration
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Exposure to high-volume, transactional environments
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Pastel Evolution (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
• Detail-oriented, highly organised, and commercially astute
